Audit-Driven Data Exchange

When a record changes, the audit log identifies it for exchange. The 3D Platform demonstrates how participating systems can use those changes to keep their copies up to date.
How it works
Change → Audit Capture → Record Group → Subscription → Subscriber → Exchange
-
The audit log identifies changed records.
-
Record Groups specify which information travels together.
-
Subscriptions specify what information to send.
-
Subscribers identify the receiving systems.
-
Exchange processes send the applicable changes.
Send what each system needs
Subscriptions can limit what is sent and redact selected fields. A receiving system can validate or review incoming information before accepting it. Stub systems can translate between an existing application’s structures and the 3D exchange structures.
Why it matters
We include change detection and distribution in the architecture. We do not have to design these from scratch for each application.
Keep authority separate
Receiving a record does not give a system authority to maintain it. Security, scale, and performance still need to be assessed for the deployment.
